Fish. A cool transformation takes place when we go from seeing them as just wandering around aimlessly to the complex players that they actually are, interacting with an equally complex environment. The underwater world around us literally comes to life.
In this course, you’ll learn about the most common families and species of fish found in temperate and tropical waters, basic fish identification, and scientific surveying techniques. Through an overview of Project AWARE and other preservation and research efforts, such as the REEF Fish Survey Project, you’ll also come to appreciate the importance of personal involvement in aquatic environment conservation.
